Punjab Honahar Merit Scholarship Program is now open for 25,000 students

Scholarship Expansion: Originally planned for 4,000 students, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz advocated for increasing the scholarship allocation to 25,000 students during a recent meeting. This expansion aims to cater to more Punjab students, offering them opportunities for free schooling and complete university scholarships.

University Scholarships: The program covers full tuition fees for undergraduate students at eight private and public universities, emphasizing the government’s commitment to higher education accessibility.

Advocating Private Sector Support:

Maryam Nawaz emphasized the importance of private sector involvement in expanding educational opportunities, particularly in remote areas. She called for partnerships between the government and private sector to establish new universities in Jhelum, Vehari, and Bahawalnagar, aiming to enhance educational infrastructure across Punjab.

Relaunch of Prime Minister Laptop Scheme:

In addition to scholarships, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced the relaunch of the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme, which had been dormant for seven years.
