 Card Redesign Sehat Sahulat

A proposal has been requested to identify empty and closed hospital buildings in three districts of Punjab for the construction of a new medical city. Providing medical facilities is not a favor but a basic right, and we are committed to ensuring that this right is upheld. Residents of underdeveloped and remote areas also deserve full access to medical services, and these services will be made available to them. There are no eligibility criteria for these facilities; all citizens of Punjab, regardless of their status or region, are entitled to benefit from them.

The health card will be redesigned and made functional soon. Major hospital upgrades across Punjab are expected to be completed by June. Maryam Nawaz has directed the health department to ensure that no hospital lacks doctors, staff, medicines, or essential medical equipment. Additionally, she emphasized the need to form a health advisory council to ensure transparency.

Additional Amenities In Hospitals

Hospitals were equipped with not only the necessary facilities but also additional ones, including designated prayer spaces for patients, nurses, and both male and female doctors. In response to the doctors’ requests, Maryam Nawaz promptly ordered the provision of new stretchers and wheelchairs in the Mayo emergency block. Separate prayer areas were allocated for female and male staff, ensuring everyone had a place to pray within the hospital premises.
