Commendable Efforts

The Sindh government deserves commendation for creating the Mamta Mother and Child program, especially considering the high levels of poverty in rural areas that hinder people’s ability to take care of their health. The Sindh Social Protection Authority (SSPA), a subsidiary of the Government of Sindh, conducted surveillance at PPHI Perumal and Mohib Junejo hospitals in Sanghar district under the Mamta Mother and Child Program. During an awareness session, Mamta Program District Coordinator Kulsoom Juyo encouraged more pregnant women in the area to register to improve their mental and physical health.
