Punjab  Zewar-e-Taleem Program Update 2024

The Zewar-e-Taleem Program offers conditional cash disbursements to female students in public schools in 16 districts that have poor reading rates.

The program attempts to boost teenage girls’ school enrollment, retention, and dietary needs. The branchless banking system created by PSPA is used for disbursement. Women enrolled at government institutions in Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Bhakhar, Chiniot, DG Khan, Jhang, Kasur, Khanewal, Leh, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Okara, Pakpattan, Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and Wahari would receive a monthly stipend of Rs 1000.

Benefits of Zewar-e-Taleem program

Due of inflation, most families are choosing not to educate their children at home, so the Pakistani government created zero education program. Under this program, the girls of Daham receive Rs 1,000 every month in the form of class notes to help them continue their studies.

Zewar Taleem Registration 2024

Funds are granted and distributed every quarter when the School Education Department confirms that 80% of the students were present. Students in Grade 10 are immediately withdrawn from the program after they have finished their studies. 

When a student withdraws from the program, they are also expelled. After successfully completing the yearly enrollment campaign of the Department of School Education, students who have registered in schools are eligible for this prize. It has benefitted 700,000 children.
