Free Tablets For Students Update August 2024

The Sindh government has announced the distribution of free tablets to students as part of an initiative to modernize the educational system. Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah approved the project, which will be managed by the Sindh Textbook Board. During a media briefing, Chief Minister Shah, along with Chairman of the Sindh Textbook Board Abdul Aleem Lashari, explained that these tablets will be provided to students in lower classes to address delays or shortages in the distribution of physical textbooks. The tablets will serve as digital textbooks, ensuring that students have access to educational resources. The initiative is part of broader efforts to gradually introduce a modern, online education system in the region.

Who Is Eligible For Free Tablets

Students enrolled in government educational institutions in Sindh are eligible to receive free tablets, a benefit limited to students from this province as the initiative was launched by the provincial government. The program focuses primarily on students from grades nine through intermediate. According to Abdul Aleem Lashari, the distribution of tablets will occur in two phases.

In the first phase, tablets will be distributed to students in grades nine to intermediate. Once this phase is complete, the second phase will begin, during which students in lower grades will receive their tablets. The aim of this initiative is to introduce a modern education system across the province.

 Free Tablets For Students Benefits

Sindh Textbook Board Chairman Abdul Aleem Lashari expressed that distributing free tablets to students is expected to yield significant benefits. The students of Sindh are eagerly anticipating these tablets, which will replace traditional textbooks and open up a world of creative opportunities.

With these modern tablets, students will have easy access to a wide range of online apps and educational content. This initiative is set to make learning more engaging and effective, particularly during times when the rising cost of books has made them less affordable for many families.

Tablets For Lower level Students

Chairman of the Sindh Textbook Board, Abdul Aleem Lashari, has announced that in the first phase of a project to provide free tablets, students of Matric Part 1 and 2, as well as Intermediate Part 1 and 2, have been selected. This initiative aims to ensure that students at the higher secondary level can continue their studies without any interruptions. Following the distribution of tablets to college students, the initiative will extend to younger students without delay.
