The Punjab government is set to launch the first-ever Livestock Card Scheme 2024 to provide interest-free loans to farmers. This initiative, approved by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, aims to support individuals involved in the livestock business and promote their economic independence.
During a meeting focused on enhancing livestock-related facilities, the Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to empowering livestock farmers economically. Officials informed the Chief Minister that the interest-free loan will be available to both male and female dairy farmers in rural areas of South Punjab, with over 40,000 farmers expected to benefit from the scheme.

Under the scheme, farmers can receive loans up to Rs 270,000 for buying wanda, silage, and mineral mixtures.
