Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has come up with another great scheme for the farmers of Punjab named Maryam Nawaz Green Tractor Scheme 2024. Through this scheme, Kisan will be able to get a subsidy while buying a green tractor but farmers must have complete eligibility criteria. The registration of Govt Punjab Tractor Scheme will be started through the Bank of Punjab web portal
Green Tractor scheme to the small farmers with a subsidy of Rs 6 billion
The Punjab government has completed the process of providing 10,000 tractors to farmers through transparent computerized balloting of 0.275 million applicants of 18 to 35 years age having land holding of 2 and a half acres to 25 acres irrigable and 50 acres arid land across the province. The Punjab government is providing a subsidy of Rs 200,000 on each tractor. The provincial government has so far provided 30,000 tractors during the past four years under the Green Tractor scheme to the small farmers with a subsidy of Rs 6 billion to boost agriculture production in the province.

Who is Eligible to Apply for CM Punjab Green Tractor Scheme 2024?
- Farmers who have a valid computerized national identity card(CNIC).
- Must have registered Mobile SIM on their CNIC number
- Farmers of Punjab who have six to 50 acres of land are eligible to apply for the Government of Punjab Green Tractor Scheme.
- Land must be registered with the land record authority.
Subsidy on Tractors
In the meeting, the chief minister turned down a proposal to provide a subsidy of Rs600,000 on a tractor. Instead, she instructed the authorities to offer a 70% subsidy on small tractors and a 50% subsidy on large tractors.
Number of Tractors to be Distributed Under the New Scheme
The government has opted to raise the number of tractors to be distributed under the Punjab Green Tractor Scheme 2024 to 10,000 units.
The chief minister has instructed that the first phase of the tractor scheme be completed within a year.
How many subsidies are on the Green Tractor Scheme 2024?
During an official meeting, the chief minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz directed the authorities to give 70% subsidy on small tractors and 50% on large tractors. She also emphasized during the meeting that a separate Kisan Bank is the need of time where Kisan of Punjab can get interest-free loans in easy installments.
